Phil King Named Vice President/Manufacturing

Phil King promoted to Vice President/Manufacturing at Elgin Fastener Group. EFG offers threaded and industrial fasteners and thread forming screws. Elgin Fastener Group is pleased to announce the promotion of Phil King to the position of Vice President/Manufacturing. Phil has most recently served as Plant Manager at Ohio Rod Products, a position he has held since January 2004. Phil was originally hired as a Sales Correspondent at Ohio Rod, a division of EFG, in April 1986 and was promoted to Stocking Supervisor in January 1994; in 2001 he transferred to the production side of Ohio Rod and began training as the eventual replacement to Kent Carter as Plant Manager.

Phil has been a vital contributor to the implementation of the Lean Program at Ohio Rod and will work in tandem with the team members at Chandler Products and Leland Powell Fasteners to incorporate Lean principles into these EFG companies.
